Emily Jayne consisted of my work as a freelance illustrator and seller (both at markets and on-line). Because social media was vital for my business, I needed a cohesive branding image that could be used on all her social media platforms (Facebook, You Tube and Etsy) but can also translate to more tactile branding material for my market stalls.
My illustrative style has a very friendly, cute and hand drawn aesthetic.
A lot of my illustrations have a traditional element to them (from completely hand drawn in graphite or creating the original linework via hand before translating digitally).
Because of this my branding had to translate in both the digital and physical world and it's associated aesthetics.
This was achievied through the style of black and white imagery, sometimes slightly unperfect imagery and organic font choices.
Branding was kept simply and clear to not only make siginage visible and identifiable in a busy market envrionment but to also maintain viewers focus on the art.
